Hullmandel, perhaps the finest English lithographer of the time and a pioneer in that country of the then relatively new method of printing from stone. The prints were first offered for sale in Sydney during May 1838 by James Tegg, bookseller and printer of George Street, Sydney, under the title Series of Views in Australia, Part 1 .
